Hero of World War II encountered a giant snake in the Katanga region of the Belgian Congo
Belgian pilot Remy Van Lierde claimed that while flying above the wilderness of the Katanga Province (in the southeast of the Belgian Congo) in 1959, he spotted and took a picture of a giant 15 meter (50 feet) long snake, describing it as a dark shade of brown and green with a white-colored belly and a 3 foot long head.
